Almighty Father, who in your great mercy gladdened the disciples with the sight of the risen Lord: give us such knowledge of his presence with us, that we may be strengthened and sustained by his risen life and serve you continually in righteousness and truth; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord.
I John 3:1-7, Luke 24:36b-48.
Lord may the hearts of your people burn with faith as they feel your presence. help us to know and make you known in the breaking of bread.
We pray for those who are ill, anxious, bereaved or isolated and for those whose life is drawing to a close. We pray for those who watch and wait and pray with them.
We pray for those who have died recently and especially for Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and for David Price. May they rest in peace.
May we be filled with joy and peace in believing in the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, who reveals to us the love and forgiveness of God.
